Only members can book courts – non members may not book a court at any time.
Please be sure to have your tag for the current season with you before claiming a court.
When booking a court, write the first name (or initial) and last name of all persons playing.
In person court reservations for the next day may be made:
After 8:00 pm the evening before from Monday – Friday
After 5:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday
Phone bookings are accepted between
7:30 pm and 9:00 pm Monday – Friday
4:30 pm and 7:30 pm on weekends

You must speak directly with a court monitor
If the monitor is not available, you must book in person only
(In inclement weather the clubhouse may be closed, and staff unavailable to take phone
bookings – the sign-up sheet will be posted on the clubhouse door to book in
person only)
A minimum of two players is required to claim a court.
The reserved court is held until 10 minutes after the hour. It then becomes available to other members who are waiting to play.
Members may only book a 1-hour period at a time. Only after the first hour of play is
completed, can a member book a subsequent 1-hour period.

Juniors may not reserve courts after 6 pm on week nights. They may however play with a senior member.
Non-members may be charged a fee of $5.00 for use of the courts.
Doubles Booking
Members playing doubles will be allowed to book in advance 2 consecutive hours for play in the following times:
Between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm< Monday – Friday
All day Saturday and Sunday excluding public hours
All 4 names must be clearly noted on the sign-up sheet.
This privilege is reserved for members playing with members.
Tournament Play
The only EXCEPTION for booking courts is for tournament play, which may be booked in advance:
Members playing singles will be allowed to book for 1 ½ hours.
Members playing doubles will be allowed to book for 2 hours.
Members of the club are very fortunate to enjoy practically exclusive use of the tennis
courts. In return we provide 4 hours of public times on weekends.
Public Hours
Public Hours at Valley Tennis Club are 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm on Sundays.
The courts are open to both non-members and members for play.

No pre-sign up for courts. Walk-on only.
Change over takes place on the half hour (please refer to the club house clock)
Club members playing in the hour before public time begins
are asked to vacate their court promptly, if others are waiting to play.
If the rules above are not followed, your names will be removed from the booking
sheet.
